WHY TAKE ACTION?

Although the country has made large steps in improving legislation for the LGBTQ+ community, such as the recent marriage laws, the lack of legislation regarding the use of conversion therapy continues to harm the members of the community. The practice of conversion therapy utilizes mentally and physically abusive methods which have permenent effects on the victims. It is important that people are educated on the effects conversion therapy has on its victims and the steps that can be taken to put an end to the abuse. By drawing more attention to the falsehood of the practices and the way it destroys the mental health of the people that experienced may encourage people to advocate for anti-conversion therapy legislation.
